The sectoral subcommission has worked continuously with the Inmate Committee in order to strengthen the latter's efforts to promote legal reforms that would introduce a system to reduce sentences in Ecuador, and has participated in the reform process with the National Social Rehabilitation Board. The sectoral subcommission has also cooperated with the Inmate Committee in organizing a training day under the auspices of the Central University of Ecuador
