Denn dieser Fluss verbindet nicht nur zahlreiche Länder Europas sondern ist auch lebenswichtig für Mensch und Umwelt: so wird etwa erklärt, wie der Wechsel von Hoch- und Niedrigwasser einen idealen Lebensraum ermöglicht – wie das im Nationalpark Donau-Auen hautnah beobachtet werden kann.

The history and the importance of the Danube are at the center of the exhibition which comprises a lot of interactive stations which VERDANDI has developed together with the multimedia specialist IMAGINATION Computer Services. Not only does the river Danube connect many European countries, it is also vital for humans and the environment. Visitors learn about the importance of floods for the development of the Danube-typical habitats.
