Die Erfindung betrifft einen Kommutator (1) mit elektrisch leitfähigen Kommutatorsegmenten (12), die pressstoffkörperfrei um eine Rotationsachse (10) herum angeordnet sind und durch einen zwischen zwei benachbarten Kommutatorsegmenten (12) angeordneten Luftspalt (14) voneinander elektrisch isoliert sind, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass ein in fließfähiger Phase formenfrei auf den Kommutator (1) aufgetragenes Fixiermittel (42) nach einem Fließvorgang zwischen zwei in Umfangsrichtung um die Rotationsachse (10) herum benachbarten Kommutatorsegmenten (12) ausgehärtet ist, und dass durch das ausgehärtete Fixiermittel (42) die Position der Kommutatorsegmente (12) fixiert ist, sowie ein Eiektrowerkzeug mit einem Elektromotor mit einem solchen Kommutator und Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Kommutators.
