They ask thee of new moons. Say thou: they are time-marks to mankind and for pilgrimage. And it is not piety that ye enter your houses by the backs thereof, but Piety is of him who feareth God. so enter the houses by the doors thereof, and fear Allah that haply ye may thrive.

"(நபியே! தேய்ந்து, வளரும்) பிறைகள் பற்றி உம்மிடம் கேட்கிறார்கள். நீர் கூறும். ""அவை மக்களுக்குக் காலம் காட்டுபவையாகவும், ஹஜ்ஜையும் அறிவிப்பவையாகவும் உள்ளன. (முஃமின்களே! ஹஜ்ஜை நிறைவேற்றிய பிறகு உங்கள்) வீடுகளுக்குள் மேற்புறமாக வருவதில் புண்ணியம் (எதுவும் வந்து விடுவது) இல்லை, ஆனால் இறைவனுக்கு அஞ்சி நற்செயல் புரிவோரே புண்ணியமுடையயோராவர். எனவே வீடுகளுக்குள் (முறையான)வாசல்கள் வழியாகவே செல்லுங்கள்.. நீங்கள் வெற்றியடையும் பொருட்டு அல்லாஹ்வை, அஞ்சி நடந்து கொள்ளுங்கள்."
