Luego se procedió al fraccionamiento del extracto mediante columna cromatográfica, que contiene silicagel G-60, obteniendo 9 fracciones que fueron evaluadas in vitro para determinar la fracción activa y proceder al aislamiento del compuesto responsable de la acción, mediante separación, purificación y cristalización que fue analizada mediante resonancia magnética nuclear (RMN) de 1H, 13C, y cromatografía liquida acoplada a espectroscopia de masa (LC/MS).
