In the Eden account of the Bible Yahweh is the authoritarian god who forbids the revelation of the divine sciences to Adam and punishes the Serpent and the whole of humanity for their rebellion against his established order and previously in the «Myth of Adapa» of the Sumerian tradition Anu himself appears as the cosmic tyrant who opposes the enlightenment of Adapa and the provision of the learnings of civilization to the human race on the part of Enki (the Ušumgal or great serpent) and then condemns us to a life of suffering upon becoming aware of our evolution.
