In der Logik der gesunden Zusammenarbeit zwischen kirchlicher Gemeinschaft und politischer Gesellschaft ist die Katholische Kirche ihrerseits davon überzeugt, ein einzigartiges Element zur Perspektive der Einigung beisteuern zu können, wenn sie in Kontinuität mit ihrer Tradition und in Übereinstimmung mit den Weisungen ihrer Soziallehre den europäischen Institutionen den Beitrag gläubiger Gemeinden anbietet, die versuchen, die Verpflichtung zur Humanisierung der Gesellschaft von dem im Zeichen der Hoffnung gelebten Evangelium her zu realisieren.

For her part, in keeping with a healthy cooperation between the ecclesial community and political society, the Catholic Church is convinced that she can make a unique contribution to the prospect of unification by offering the European institutions, in continuity with her tradition and in fidelity to the principles of her social teaching, the engagement of believing communities committed to bringing about the humanization of society on the basis of the Gospel, lived under the sign of hope.

Por su parte, en la lógica de una sana colaboración entre comunidad eclesial y sociedad política, la Iglesia católica está convencida de poder dar una contribución singular al proyecto de unificación, ofreciendo a las instituciones europeas, en continuidad con su tradición y en coherencia con las indicaciones de su doctrina social, la aportación de comunidades creyentes que tratan de llevar a cabo el compromiso de humanizar la sociedad a partir del Evangelio, vivido bajo el signo de la esperanza.

Pour sa part, dans la logique d'une saine collaboration entre communauté ecclésiale et société politique, l'Église catholique est convaincue de pouvoir apporter une contribution spécifique à la perspective de l'unification, offrant aux institutions européennes, en continuité avec sa tradition et en harmonie avec les directives de sa doctrine sociale, la présence de communautés de croyants qui cherchent à réaliser l'humanisation de la société à partir de l'Évangile vécu sous le signe de l'espérance.
