The invention of the EPICUP® epigenetic test last year allowed physicians to elucidate what type of primary tumor had metastasized in patients with Cancer of Unknown Primary (CUP). La invención del test epigenético EPICUP® ha permitido en el último año descubrir qué tipo de tumor primario ha producido la metástasis en pacientes de Cáncer de Origen Desconocido (COD, o por sus siglas en inglés, CUP - Hoy, un artículo publicado en Nature Reviews Clinical Oncology por Manel Esteller, coordinador del Programa de Epigenética y Biología del Cáncer del Instituto de Investigación Biomédica de Bellvitge (IDIBELL), Investigador ICREA y Profesor de Genética de la Universidad de Barcelona, explica cómo se está implantando esta prueba en la práctica clínica y los nuevos avances que se pueden derivar de la misma.
