Kathmandu: Cholera is likely to turn into an epidemic after number of cholera patients is increasing abnormally in some districts of the country including the Kathmandu Valley with the start of rainy season. Epidemiology and Disease Control Division (EDCD) has urged the health agencies to be alert after cholera symptoms was detected in many diarrhoea patients visiting the hospitals and health agencies for treatment in the recent days. About 190 people have been detected with cholera in the Kathmandu Valley in the recent days.
