ফুবার টার্মটি (/ˈːɑ/), ফুবার , অথবা ফু , বার, বায এবং কিউক্স (কোয়াক্স) কখনো নরফ এবং আরো অনেক কিছুই কোন কোন সময় কম্পিউটার প্রোগ্রামিং বা কম্পিউটার সংক্রান্ত ডকুমেন্টেশনে ধারকের নাম (এছাড়াও মেটাসিন্ট্যাক্টিক ভেরিয়েবল)হিসাবে ব্যবহৃত হয়ে থাকে। তারা বিভিন্ন এনটিটি যেমন ভ্যারিয়েবল, ফাংশন বা কম্যান্ড এর নাম হিসেবে ব্যবহৃত হয়ে থাকে যাদের সঠিক পরিচয় গুরুত্বহীন এবং যা শুধুমাত্র একটি ধারণা প্রদর্শন করার জন্য পরিবেশন করা হয়। এই পরিবেশনে শব্দটির নিজস্ব কোন অর্থ থাকে না। ফুবার কখনো এককভাবে ব্যবহৃত হয়ে থাকে . একাধিক এনটিটির জন্য কখনো ফু, বার, বা বায ও ব্যবহৃত হয়ে থাকে।

The terms foobar (//), fubar, or foo, bar, baz and qux (quux) and sometimes norf and many others are sometimes used as placeholder names (also referred to as metasyntactic variables) in computer programming or computer-related documentation. They have been used to name entities such as variables, functions, and commands whose exact identity is unimportant and serve only to demonstrate a concept. The words themselves have no meaning in this usage. Foobar is sometimes used alone. foo, bar, and baz are sometimes used, when multiple entities are needed.
