This kernel program is a program installed in a computer for inputting/outputting data between an application program and a storage device, wherein the kernel program causes the computer to function as a socket establishment means for establishing a socket between the application program and the kernel program, a relational database for inputting/outputting data between the storage device and the kernel program via a device driver, and an access control means for inputting a command from the application program by using the message structure of the socket and outputting the command to the relational database, as well as inputting an execution result from the relational database and outputting the execution result to the application program by using the message structure of the socket.

本カーネルプログラムは、アプリケーションプログラムとストレージデバイスとの間でデータを入出力するコンピュータに搭載されたプログラムであって、アプリケーションプログラムとの間に、ソケット(socket)を確立するソケット確立手段と、ストレージデバイスとの間で、デバイスドライバを介して、データを入出力するリレーショナルデータベースと、アプリケーションプログラムからソケットのメッセージ構造を用いてコマンドを入力し、該コマンドをリレーショナルデータベースへ出力すると共に、リレーショナルデータベースから実行結果を入力し、該実行結果を、ソケットのメッセージ構造を用いてアプリケーションプログラムへ出力するアクセス制御手段としてコンピュータを機能させる。
