In the Sariosiyo region the fluorine content in the arable layer of the soil exceeds the permitted norms by a factor of 4.5-20 within a five-kilometre radius; in the Uzun region, the maximum permissible concentration is exceeded by a factor of 2.3-16.6 within a 10-kilometre radius; and in the Kumkurghon and Zharkurgan regions, the soluble fluorine content is from 2.0 to 3.3 times the maximum permitted concentration within a radius of over 100 kilometres.
