إدراكاً للتهديد الذي تشكله أسلحة الدمار الشامل الحالية للبشرية، لا سيما الأسلحة النووية، وتأكيداً للحاجة إلى التخلص الكامل من مثل هذه الأسلحة، أكد الوزراء مجدداً على الحاجة لمنع ظهور أنواع جديدة من أسلحة الدمار الشامل، ومن ثم فقد ساندوا الحاجة إلى رصد الموقف واتخاذ التصرف الدولي اللازم.

Mindful of the threat posed to humankind by the existing weapons of mass destruction, particularly nuclear weapons and underlining the need for the total elimination of such weapons, the Ministers reaffirmed the need to prevent the emergence of new types of weapons of mass destruction and therefore supported the necessity of monitoring the situation and triggering international action as required.

Conscientes de la amenaza que representan las armas de destrucción en masa existentes para la humanidad, particularmente las armas nucleares, y subrayando la necesidad de su total eliminación, los Ministros reiteraron que es indispensable impedir el surgimiento de nuevos tipos de armas de destrucción en masa y, por consiguiente, apoyaron la necesidad de vigilar la situación y adoptar las medidas internacionales convenientes.

Учитывая угрозу, представляемую для человечества существующим оружием массового уничтожения, в частности ядерным оружием, и подчеркивая необходимость полного уничтожения такого оружия, министры вновь подтвердили необходимость предотвращения разработки новых видов оружия массового уничтожения и в связи с этим поддержали необходимость мониторинга ситуации в данной области и принятия, в случае необходимости, международных мер.
