The conditions relating the project, such as the extensive operational areas (63 ha), a flat topography (slopes between 1% - 5%), high rainfall intensities during the rainy season (high flows rates in a short time) and a high flood mark in the dumping pool, established a challenging scenario for the design due to the geomorphological conditions of the area, summarized in the economic need of minimizing the earthworks as well as maximizing the operative areas and, if possible, discharge the rainwater drainage system by way of pumps.

Las condiciones propias del proyecto como áreas operativas extensas (63 Ha), topografía plana (pendientes entre 1% - 5%), altas intensidades en invierno (altos caudales en poco tiempo) y cota de inundación alta en el cuerpo de vertimiento, configuraron un escenario retador para el diseño por las condiciones geomorfológicas de la zona sumado a la necesidad económica de minimizar el movimiento de tierras así como maximizar las áreas operativas y en lo posible descartar el sistema de drenaje de aguas lluvias por bombeo.
