본 발명의 실시예에 따른 근거리 통신을 이용하는 위치 및 상태정보 제공/조회 시스템은, 근거리 통신모듈을 구비하며, 근거리 통신모듈을 이용하여 주변의 적어도 하나의 타인 단말기에 구비된 근거리 통신모듈의 식별정보를 획득하여 전송하는 이동 단말기; 서비스 가입자의 단말기에 대한 식별정보를 저장하며, 이동 단말기로부터 근거리 통신모듈의 식별정보를 수신하여 대응하는 서비스 가입자의 리스트를 전송하는 서비스 서버; 및 서비스 가입자의 단말기에 대한 위치를 측위하며, 서비스 서버로부터 전송된 리스트에 기초하여 이동 단말기에 의해 적어도 하나의 서비스 가입자가 선택되면, 선택된 서비스 가입자에 대응하는 단말기의 위치 및 상태정보를 이동 단말기로 전송하는 측위 서버를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 한다.
