The Information Access Law (Law 12527 of 18 November 2011), which entered into force on 16 May 2012, establishes the transparence limits and criteria of access to information under public administration custody, thereby reinforcing a State policy, which encompasses public agencies that form part of the direct administration by the Executive and the Legislative, including the Government Accounting Offices, the Judiciary and the Public Prosecutor’s Office, as well as autonomous government agencies, public enterprises, mixed economy corporations, and other entities directly or indirectly controlled by the Federal Government, the states, the Federal District and the Municipalities.

La Ley de acceso a la información (Ley No 12527 de 18 de noviembre de 2011), vigente desde el 16 de mayo de 2012, establece los límites y criterios de transparencia aplicables al acceso a la información de la administración pública, reforzando así una política de Estado que abarca a los organismos públicos involucrados en la administración directa de los poderes ejecutivo y legislativo, incluidas las oficinas de contabilidad del gobierno, el poder judicial, el ministerio público, las entidades de gobierno autónomas, las empresas públicas, las empresas de economía mixta y las entidades controladas directa o indirectamente por el Gobierno Federal, los estados, el Distrito Federal y los municipios.
