This historic Valdostan variety known by "valdotains" also as "Pitchou rodzo," the Petit rouge is currently the most cultivated in Aosta Valley, in the area between Saint-Vincent and Avise, on the right and on the left slope of the Dora Baltea, to altitudes approximately 750 meters above sea level.

Storico vitigno valdostano conosciuto dai "valdotains" anche come "Pitchou rodzo", il Petit rouge è attualmente il più coltivato in Valle d'Aosta, nella zona fra Saint-Vincent e Avise, sulla destra e sulla sinistra orografica della Dora Baltea, fino ad altitudini di circa 750 metri sul livello del mare.
