Disclosed is an apparatus for producing electricity for a commercial ship, which produces electricity needed in commercial ships which charge for boarding passengers, transferring goods, or providing services and includes a methanation device which decomposes and methanizes liquid fuels for methanation, a reforming reactor which produces synthetic gas by reforming methane produced in the methanation device, and fuel cells which produce electricity by electrochemically reacting the synthetic gas which is produced by reforming the methane in the reforming reactor.
