தமிழ்நாடு பொது விற்பனை வரிச் சட்டத்தின் கீழுள்ள அட்டவணைகள் (Schedules) மற்றும் பகுதிகளைச் (Parts) சீரமைக்கும் நோக்கில், இச்சட்டத்திலுள்ள அட்டவணைகள் (Schedules) மற்றும் பகுதிகளில் (Parts) குறிப்பிட்டுள்ள பதிவுத் தொகுதிகளை (grouping of entries), மறு ஆய்வு செய்து, தற்போதுள்ள நானூற்று ஐம்பதுக்கும் மேற்பட்ட பதிவுகள், முந்நூறுக்கும் கீழே குறைக்கப்படுகின்றன.
