وستركز الأنشطة على تنفيذ إطار العمل الذي اعتمده وزراء النقل والاتصالات الأفريقيون في عام 1997 لبناء شبكات تتسم بالكفاءة والفعالية من حيث تكلفة النقل في أفريقيا في القرن الحادي والعشرين، وكلما كان مناسبا في إطار مسار المستقبل الذي سيعتمد في اجتماعهم الذي سيعقد في عام 2002 بشأن الاستعراض النهائي لعقد الأمم المتحدة الثاني للنقل والاتصالات في أفريقيا.

The activities will focus on the implementation of the Framework of Action adopted in 1997 by the African Ministers of Transport and Communications for building efficient and cost-effective transport systems in Africa in the twenty-first century and, as relevant, the Framework for the Way Forward, to be adopted at their meeting in 2002 on the final review of the Second United Nations Transport and Communications Decade in Africa.

Las actividades estarán dedicadas a la aplicación del marco de acción aprobado en 1997 por los Ministros africanos de transporte y comunicaciones para establecer en África en el siglo XXI sistemas de transporte efectivos y eficaces en relación con el costo y, cuando proceda, el marco para la labor futura, que aprobarán en su reunión del 2002 dedicada al examen final del Segundo Decenio de las Naciones Unidas para el Transporte y las Comunicaciones en África.

Les activités entreprises seront axées sur l’application du Cadre d’action adopté en 1997 par les ministres africains des transports et des communications en faveur de la construction de réseaux de transports performants et rentables en Afrique au XXIe siècle et, s’il y a lieu, des recommandations sur la voie à suivre qui seront adoptées lorsqu’ils se réuniront en 2002 pour procéder à l’examen final de la deuxième Décennie des Nations Unies pour les transports et les communications en Afrique.

Главное внимание в рамках этих мероприятий будет сосредоточено на осуществлении Программы действий, принятой в 1997 году министрами транспорта и связи африканских стран в целях создания действенных и эффективных с точки зрения затрат транспортных систем в Африке в XXI веке и, в соответствующих аспектах, Программы продвижения вперед, которая должна быть принята во время их встречи в 2002 году, посвященной заключительному обзору второго Десятилетия транспорта и связи Организации Объединенных Наций в Африке.
