The aircraft considered have existing landing gear such as wheeled landing gear to equip said aircraft to optionally takeoff or land on a solid surface such as a beach or landing strip, the method including the steps of: a) mounting at least one float retraction arm to the aircraft; and b) attaching the floats to the float retraction arm.

L'aéronef de l'invention possède un train d'atterrissage tel qu'un train d'atterrissage à roues qui équipe cet aéronef pour éventuellement décoller ou atterrir sur une surface dure telle qu'une plage ou une bande de terrain. Ce procédé consiste : (a) à monter au moins un bras de rétraction de flotteurs sur l'aéronef, (b) à fixer les flotteurs sur ce bras de rétraction de flotteurs.
