A typical sound is the Hoo-hoo-hoo pant known by all, mainly utilized for “marking” the territory, but besides this, there are also other sounds: a barking similar to that of the Bushbuck (Tralegaphus scriptus), grunts, a sort of short roar, shrieks of various tonalities, among which, a much modulated Haaaaaa, going from the bleat to the growl.

Un sonido típico es el Hoo-hoo-hoo agitado que todos conocemos, que utilizan sobretodo para marcar el territorio, pero más allá de esto tienen otros numerosos sonidos: un grito similar al de uno de los antílopes más pequeños (Tralegaphus scriptus), gruñidos, una especie de breve rugido, chillidos en varios tonos, entre ellos un Haaaaaa, muy modulado, que va desde el sonido que emiten las cabras o las ovejas hasta un chillido rabioso.
