The reports contain some profoundly disturbing conclusions, including the finding by the OPCW fact-finding mission of the likely use of one or more toxic chemicals — probably containing the element chlorine — as a weapon, and its confirmation with “utmost confidence” of the use of sulfur mustard.

В докладах содержится ряд крайне тревожных выводов, в том числе вывод миссии ОЗХО по установлению фактов о том, что в качестве средства ведения войны использовались, повидимому, один или несколько токсичных химикатов, вероятно содержавших элемент хлор, а также подтверждение миссией «с абсолютной уверенностью» того, что использовался сернистый иприт.
