KATHMANDU, Aug 28: UCPN (Maoist) Vice-chairman Baburam Bhattarai outpolled Nepali Congress (NC) Vice-president Ram Chandra Paudel by the margin of 105 votes to become the country’s new prime minister Sunday evening. During the prime ministerial election held at the Legislature-Parliament today, Bhattarai polled in 340 votes, while his rival Paudel could muster only 235 votes. A total of 575 lawmakers were present in the voting.
