ولما كان نحو 80 في المائة من حالات الإصابة بفيروس نقص المناعة البشرية تنتقل عن طريق الاتصال الجنسي أو ترتبط بالحمل والوضع والرضاعة الثديية فقد قام صندوق الأمم المتحدة للسكان بتنفيذ استراتيجية تحدد الأولويات بالنسبة لتوزيع موارد الميزانية وخطة العمل الموحدتين واستخدامها بما يحقق بناء قدرة الصندوق المخصصة لفيروس نقص المناعة البشرية على الصعيدين القطري ودون الإقليمي.

Given that about 80 percent of HIV infections are transmitted sexually or are associated with pregnancy, childbirth and breastfeeding, UNFPA has implemented a strategy that prioritized the allocation and use of its unified budget and workplan (UBW) resources towards building the Fund’s dedicated HIV capacity at country and subregional levels.

С учетом того, что около 80 процентов случаев заражения ВИЧ приходится на передачу инфекции половым путем или в процессе беременности, родов и грудного вскармливания, ЮНФПА внедряет стратегию, основанную на уделении приоритетного внимания распределению и использованию ресурсов в рамках его сводного бюджета и плана работы в целях наращивания потенциала Фонда по борьбе с ВИЧ на страновом и субрегиональном уровнях.
