ওভাহিম্বারা চারটি বর্ণের নাম ব্যবহার করে থাকেঃ যুযু মানে গাঢ় বর্ণের নীল, লাল, সবুজ এবং বেগুনী. ভাপা হল সাদা এবং কিছু হ্লদে বর্ণ . বুরু অর্থাৎ কিছু সবুজ এং নীল গোত্রীয় বর্ণ. এবং দাম্বু হল আরো কিছু সবুজ, লাল এবং বাদামী গোত্রের বর্ণ।
