The cyathia, the typical inflorescences of the Euphorbiaceae, united in sub-terminal cymes on a 4-7 cm long peduncle, are formed by two reniform bracts with rounded apex of bright red colour, about 0,6 x 1,2 cm, a campanulate involucre with five nectariferous glands, 1 x 2 mm, of reddish yellow colour, with, at the centre, a female flower without calyx and corolla, surrounded by male flowers also without calyx and corolla.

Les cyathes, inflorescences typiques des Euphorbiaceae, réunis en cymes sub-terminales sur un pédoncule long de 4 à 7 cm, sont formés de deux bractées réniformes à l’extrémité arrondie de couleur rouge vif, mesurant environ 0,6 sur 1,2 cm, un involucre campanulé portant cinq glandes nectarifères, de 1 sur 2 mm, jaune rougeâtre, avec, au centre, une fleur femelle sans calice ni corolle entourée de quelques fleurs mâles également sans calice ni corolle.
