The Commission is aware that Hungary's new data protection legislation, the Act on Informational Self-Determination and Freedom of Information, was adopted on 11.7.2011(1) and will enter into force on 1.1.2012, replacing Act LXIII of 1992 on the Protection of Personal Data and Public Access to Data of Public Interest.
