71 Gern akzeptieren wir diesen Vorwurf, um wie jene »Gewalttäter Gottes« zu sein, die wir in der Geschichte der Kirche so oft gesehen haben und auch heute noch erblicken, um uns bewußt im großen Auftrag zu vereinen, der da heißt: Christus der Welt zu offenbaren, einem jeden Menschen zu helfen, damit er sich selbst in ihm wiederfinde, den heutigen Generationen unserer Brüder und Schwestern, Völkern, Nationen, Staaten, der Menschheit, weniger entwickelten und reichen Ländern, kurz allen zu helfen, um den »unergründlichen Reichtum Christi« 72 kennenzulernen, damit dieser jedem Menschen zur Verfügung stehe und zum Besitz jedes einzelnen werde.

We gladly accept this rebuke, that we may be like those "violent people of God "that we have so often seen in the history of the Church and still see today, and that we may consciously join in the great mission of revealing Christ to the world, helping each person to find himself in Christ, and helping the contemporary generations of our brothers and sisters, the peoples, nations, States, mankind, developing countries and countries of opulence-in short, helping everyone to get to know "the unsearchable riches of Christ"72, since these riches are for every individual and are everybody's property.

Nous acceptons volontiers ce reproche, pour ressembler à ces «violents pour Dieu» que nous avons vus tant de fois dans l'histoire de l'Eglise et que nous voyons encore aujourd'hui, pour nous unir consciemment dans la grande mission qui consiste à révéler le Christ au monde, à aider chaque homme à se retrouver lui-même en Lui, à aider les générations contemporaines de nos frères et sœurs, les peuples, les nations, les Etats, l'humanité, les pays non encore développés et les pays de l'opulence, en un mot aider tous les hommes à connaître «l'insondable richesse du Christ» 72, parce qu'elle est destinée à tout homme et constitue le bien de chacun.

Accettiamo volentieri questo rimprovero, per essere come quei «violenti di Dio» che abbiamo tante volte visto nella storia della Chiesa e che scorgiamo ancor oggi, per unirci consapevolmente nella grande missione, e cioè: rivelare Cristo al mondo, aiutare ciascun uomo perché ritrovi se stesso in Lui, aiutare le generazioni contemporanee dei nostri fratelli e sorelle, popoli, nazioni, stati, umanità, paesi non ancora sviluppati e paesi dell'opulenza, tutti insomma, a conoscere le «imperscrutabili ricchezze di Cristo»72, perché queste sono per ogni uomo e costituiscono il bene di ciascuno.

Przyjmujemy chętnie tę naganę, aby jak owi „gwałtownicy Boży”, na których patrzyliśmy tyle razy w dziejach Kościoła i patrzymy także dzisiaj, zjednoczyć się w poczuciu wielkiej misji: okazywać światu Chrystusa, pomagać każdemu człowiekowi, aby odnalazł siebie w Nim, pomagać współczesnemu pokoleniu naszych braci i sióstr, ludom, narodom, ustrojom, ludzkości, krajom, które znajdują się dopiero na drodze rozwoju i krajom „przerostu”, wszystkim — poznawać „niezgłębione bogactwo Chrystusa” (Ef 3, 8), bo ono jest dla każdego człowieka. Ono jest dobrem każdego człowieka.
