The method for preparing difluoroacetic acid according to the invention is characterised in that the same comprises the step of preparing difluoroacetyl fluoride by reacting dichloroacetyl chloride with hydrofluoric acid in a gaseous phase and in the presence of a chromium-based catalyst, followed by the step of hydrolysing the difluoroacetyl fluoride thus obtained.

Le procédé de préparation de l'acide difluoroacétique selon l'invention est caractérisé par le fait qu'il comprend une étape de préparation du fluorure de difluoroacétyle par réaction du chlorure de dichloroacétyle et de l'acide fluorhydrique, en phase gazeuse, en présence d'un catalyseur à base de chrome suivie par une étape d'hydrolyse du fluorure de difluoroacétyle obtenu.
