9 Finally they reached the place that the true God had indicated to him, and Abraham built an altar there and arranged the wood on it. He bound his son Isaac hand and foot and put him on the altar on top of the wood.+ 10 Then Abraham reached out his hand and took the knife* to kill his son.+ 11 But Jehovah’s angel called to him from the heavens and said: “Abraham, Abraham!” to which he answered: “Here I am!”

9 Finalmente llegaron al lugar que le había designado el Dios [verdadero], y allí Abrahán edificó un altar+ y puso en orden la leña y ató de manos y pies a Isaac su hijo y lo puso sobre el altar, encima de la leña.+ 10 Entonces Abrahán extendió la mano y tomó el cuchillo de degüello para matar a su hijo.+ 11 Pero el ángel de Jehová se puso a llamarlo desde los cielos y a decir:+ “¡Abrahán, Abrahán!”, a lo cual él contestó: “¡Aquí estoy!”.
