Normally the single malts of the Isle of Arran distillery are fresh, sweet and not peated but the Machrie Moor series is no exception, these whiskeys are in fact peated and daring, the peat comes from an area called Machrie Moor, one of the oldest and mysterious peat bogs of the island and this single malt is aged exclusively in ex-bourbon barrels before being bottled, without being cold filtered and without adding dyes, cask strength at 56.2% vol.

Normalmente i single malt della distilleria dell’isola di Arran sono freschi, dolci e non torbati ma la serie Machrie Moor fa eccezione, questi whisky sono infatti torbati e audaci, la torba proviene proprio da una zona chiamata Machrie Moor, una delle più vecchie e misteriose torbiere dell’isola e questo single malt è maturato esclusivamente in botti ex-bourbon barrels prima di essere imbottigliato, senza essere filtrato a freddo e senza aggiunta di coloranti, a forza di botte (cask strength) al 56,2% vol.
