The mountains are undoubtedly the main attraction in Langtang, but the Tibetan culture, seemingly untouched by lowland Nepalese influence, almost ended up stealing the show. We savored our night in the village of Langtang, a medieval congregation of stone buildings covered with plain wood shingles, where the thin air at 11,500 feet mixed pleasingly with the smoke of yak dung fires. As the sun was setting, we looked out of our wooden teahouse and saw a woman herding her sheep home below the snow-covered saber-toothed peak of Langtang II.

१६ किलोमिटरको उत्तरी तिब्यात चिन रशुवागढि नाका हुँदै केरुङसँग सन् २०१० को अन्त्य सम्ममा जोडीने तरखरमा रहेको यो बेसिको दोभान छेउ बसेर हेर्दा लाग्दैन कि, लाङ्टाङ र भोटेकोशी जस्ता ठुला खोलाहरु मिसिएर एकै छिनमा त्रिसुली नमाकरण भई गल्छी (काठमाडौं-हेटौंडा बाटोको ४७ किलो मिटर खन्ड) पुग्दा कम्तिमा पनि सय किलोमिटरको यात्रा यहाँबाट सोझै पार भईसकेको छ । अनी गल्छिबाट अर्को दुई सय किलोमिटर वरै सुक्खा बन्दरगाह बिरगन्ज लम्पसार परेर सुतिरहेको किन नहोस्, त्यो त प्रतिक्षामा होला अर्को छोटो लिङ्क तिब्यतको ।
