منذ اتخاذ القرار 1521 (2003)، فإن حكومة سيراليون، وفاء منها بالتزامها بالتنفيذ الصارم للوقف الاختياري الذي أعلنته الجماعة الاقتصادية لدول غرب أفريقيا لاستيراد الأسلحة الصغيرة والأسلحة الخفيفة وتصديرها وتصنيعها، قامت بتشديد الرقابة عن طريق آلياتها الأمنية وآليات الرصد الأخرى التابعة لها لكفالة عدم نقل الأسلحة والمواد المتعلقة بها إلى ليبريا من إقليم سيراليون أو من عبره.

Since the adoption of resolution 1521 (2003), and consistent with its commitment to scrupulously implement the ECOWAS Moratorium on the Importation, Exportation and Manufacture of Small Arms and Light Weapons, the Government of Sierra Leone has tightened surveillance within its existing security and other monitoring mechanisms to ensure that arms and related materiel are not transferred from or through the territory of Sierra Leone to Liberia.

Desde que se aprobó la resolución 1521 (2003), y en consonancia con el compromiso de aplicar escrupulosamente la suspensión de la importación, la exportación y la fabricación de armas ligeras decretada por la Comunidad Económica de los Estados de África Occidental, el Gobierno de Sierra Leona ha aumentado la vigilancia, dentro de sus mecanismos existentes de seguridad y supervisión, a fin de que no se transfieran desde el territorio de Sierra Leona o a través de él armas y material conexo a Liberia.

Depuis l’adoption de la résolution 1521 (2003) et conformément à son engagement à appliquer scrupuleusement le Moratoire de la CEDEAO sur l’importation, l’exportation et la fabrication des armes légères, le Gouvernement sierra-léonais a renforcé la surveillance dans le cadre de ses mécanismes existants de sécurité et autres mécanismes de contrôle, afin d’empêcher que des armements et du matériel connexe soient transférés du territoire sierra-léonais au Libéria ou par ce territoire.

После принятия резолюции 1521 (2003) и в соответствии со своими обязательствами строго соблюдать мораторий ЭКОВАС на импорт, экспорт и производство стрелкового оружия и легких вооружений правительство Сьерра-Леоне усилило наблюдение с использованием существующих механизмов обеспечения безопасности и других средств контроля в целях недопущения поставок оружия и соответствующей боевой техники из Сьерра-Леоне или через территорию Сьерра-Леоне в Либерию.
