Cuba has an Oral Cancer Detection Program (PDCB), which since its inception contemplates the need to perform an examination of the oral complex to all patients in Primary Health Care, because when any alteration is found in the physical examination that presumes the suspicion of a malignant lesion, the patient should be referred to the consultation for maxillofacial surgery.

Cuba cuenta con un Programa de Detección del Cáncer Bucal (PDCB), el cual desde su creación contempla la necesidad de realizar un examen del complejo bucal a todos los pacientes en la Atención Primaria de Salud, pues al encontrarse alguna alteración en el examen físico que presuma la sospecha de una lesión maligna, el paciente debe ser remitido a la consulta de cirugía maxilofacial.
