وفي 27 نيسان/أبريل 1999، تلقى الرئيس مذكرة شفوية من البعثة الدائمة لأوكرانيا لدى الأمم المتحدة تنقل نتائج تحقيق أجرته السلطات الأوكرانية المختصة بشأن تقارير عن القيام، بواسطة طائرة أوكرانية، بتوريد أسلحة وذخيرة حربية إلى بوركينا فاسو، وهي معدات زعم أنها نُقلت جوا إلى ليبريا ثم منها إلى قوات غير حكومية في سيراليون.

On 27 April 1999, the Chairman received a note verbale from the Permanent Mission of Ukraine to the United Nations transmitting the results of an investigation carried out by the competent Ukrainian authorities concerning reports on the delivery, by a Ukrainian aircraft, of weapons and ammunition to Burkina Faso, which, allegedly, were flown on to Liberia and transported subsequently to non-governmental forces in Sierra Leone.

El 27 de abril de 1999 el Presidente recibió una nota verbal de la Misión Permanente de Ucrania ante las Naciones Unidas, en que se comunicaban los resultados de una investigación realizada por las autoridades competentes ucranianas en relación con los informes sobre el envío, por una aeronave ucraniana, de armas y municiones a Burkina Faso, las cuales se habrían transportado por vía aérea a Liberia y luego entregado a fuerzas no gubernamentales en Sierra Leona.

Le 27 avril 1999, la Mission permanente de l’Ukraine auprès de l’Organisation des Nations Unies a adressé au Président du Comité une note verbale, dans laquelle elle présentait les résultats d’une enquête menée par les autorités ukrainiennes compétentes à la suite de rapports faisant état de la livraison d’armes et de munitions qui auraient été transportées par un avion ukrainien au Burkina Faso, avant d’être réacheminées par avion au Libéria pour être livrées à des forces non gouvernementales en Sierra Leone.

27 апреля 1999 года Председатель получил вербальную ноту Постоянного представительства Украины при Организации Объединенных Наций, препровождающую результаты расследования, проведенного компетентными органами Украины относительно сообщений о поставках украинским самолетом оружия и боеприпасов Буркина-Фасо, которые, предположительно, были доставлены по воздуху в Либерию, а затем переправлены неправительственным силам в Сьерра-Леоне.
