The museum is housed in the old administration building of the former Uppsala Hospital och Asyl (Uppsala Hospital and Asylum) from the early 1900s. Its exhibits reflect the medical and technology development within most branches of medicine, from ancient times to the present, including obstetrics, intensive care and clinical chemistry.

Museet ligger i den gamla administrationsbyggnaden för Uppsala Hospital och Asyl från tidigt 1900-och skildrar den medicinska och tekniska utvecklingen inom de flesta av läkekonstens grenar från äldsta tid till nutid, bland annat förlossningskonst, intensivvård och klinisk kemi.
