The Internal Regulations of the Ministry of Agriculture, Water Resources, Fisheries and Aquaculture in Article 3 states that: for attention, study, planning, processing and resolution of matters within its jurisdiction will have various administrative units, including watching to Wildlife Departament who in their rightful powers, among others, promote the efficient management of natural resources of the Bank, through actions of restoration, protection and forest conservation and wildlife, for the sustainable use of natural resources and thereby achieve a higher contribution to the income of farmers and therefore the state. El Reglamento Interior de la Secretaría de Agricultura, Ganadería, Recursos Hidráulicos, Pesca y Acuacultura en su artículo 3 señala que: para la atención, estudio, planeación, trámite y resolución de los asuntos de su competencia contará con diversas Unidades Administrativas, contemplando entre ellas a la Dirección General Forestal y de Fauna Silvestre quien dentro de sus atribuciones le corresponde, entre otras, fomentar el manejo eficiente de los recursos naturales de la Entidad, mediante acciones de restauración, protección y conservación forestal y de vida silvestre, para el aprovechamiento sustentable de los recursos naturales y con esto alcanzar una mayor aportación a los ingresos de los productores y por consiguiente del estado.
