Our prayer, like that of Our beloved Predecessor Pope John in his dying moments, is the prayer of Jesus Christ at the Last Supper: That all may be one . . . perfected in unity . . . that the world may know that thou, God the Father, hast loved them (Io. 17, 20 ss.).
