As to the popular Folk traditions, December 12 is worth mentioning for the celebration of the Virgin of Guadalupe, and the series of festivities commemorating this date as are: Burning the devil (la quema del diablo) on December 7th., preparations for 'the Birth of Christ' with the 'posadas', which are small processions where Christmas carols are sung and various activities for the 24th. Of December and the construction of small mangers, which are scale reproductions of the stall where Christ was born, and these can be seen in many churches.

Respecto a las manifestaciones tradicionales de carácter popular, cabe mencionar, el día 12 de diciembre, cuando se celebra a La Virgen de Guadalupe, y la serie de festejos que se hacen en conmemoración de esta fecha, La Quema del Diablo, celebrada el 7 de diciembre; los preparativos para 'El nacimiento del niño Dios', como son las posadas, pequeñas procesiones con canto de villancicos y la serie de actividades que para el mismo 24 de Diciembre, como la construcción de 'nacimientos', que son reproducciones a escala del lugar donde nació Cristo y que pueden apreciarse en muchas iglesias.
