The policy and institutional support project will strengthen the institutional capacities of the National Childhood Commissions/Councils so that they become centres of knowledge and networking that can monitor trends in child indicators; advocate for children; develop and implement policies; help prepare reports to the Committee on the Rights of the Child; and plan follow-up to the Committee’s recommendations.

ejecución de tres proyectos. Por conducto del proyecto de política y apoyo institucional se fortalecerán las capacidades institucionales de los consejos y las comisiones nacionales para los niños para que funcionen como centros de conocimientos y establecimiento de redes que puedan seguir las tendencias de los indicadores sobre la infancia; se realizarán actividades en favor de los niños, se formularán y aplicarán políticas, se prestará asistencia en la preparación de informes para el Comité de los Derechos del Niño; y se planificará el seguimiento de las recomendaciones formuladas por el Comité.
