It is a subject that they, even though not in a systematic way, started to face collectively, when in group, by many viewpoints (materials, industrialization, interiors, furniture, relation with the nature) and that they developed in the following years during the World War II (1941), influenced by G. Pagano and his magazine Casabella. Lastly, they confronted with the same housing subject during the time of the post-war reconstruction, when, in 1949, was launched the large national plan of reconstruction and extension of the Italian cities, known as INA-Casa Program.

Se trata de un tema que ellos mismos, aunque de manera no sistemática, habían empezado a tratar en grupo desde distintos puntos de vista (los materiales, la industrialización, los interiores domésticos, la decoración, la relación con la naturaleza) y que perfeccionaron en los años sucesivos, ya durante la segunda guerra mundial (1941) – gracias a la iniciativa de Giuseppe Pagano y de la revista por él dirigida, Casabella; finalmente, se enfrentaron con la realidad de la gran reconstrucción italiana de la posguerra, cuando, en 1949, se lanzó el imponente programa nacional de reconstrucción y ampliación de las ciudades italianas, conocido como Programa INA-Casa.
