ويرى الفريق أنه يمكن زيادة صقل المشروع بأن يشمل عينة مراقبة من الشبان غير المتعرضين لحرائق النفط لمقارنتها مع الفئة عالية التعرض لتلك الحرائق، باستخدام بروتوكول تحقق شبيه والمقارنة بين المجموعتين حسب الجنس والسن.
