The defined management plans in the Netherlands make provision for measures such as the large-scale expropriation and displacement of farms and the rewetting of existing farm and crop lands around these areas(2) which are causing considerable social unrest and resistance to this source law in the community, and in most cases appear scientifically unnecessary and replaceable by equivalent alternative solutions through conversion decisions.

Zo voorzien door vastgestelde beheerplannen in Nederland zelfs in maatregelen als grootschalige onteigening en verplaatsing van boerenbedrijven en vernatting van bestaande landbouw‐ en cultuurgronden rondom deze gebieden(2), hetgeen veel maatschappelijke onrust en afkeer van deze Europese bronwetgeving in de samenleving veroorzaakt, en zelfs veelal wetenschappelijk onnodig blijkt wegens de mogelijkheid van equivalente alternatieve maatregelen middels omwisselbesluiten.
