Laryngitis As the name suggests, laryngitis is an inflammation of the larynx, a cartilaginous organ located in the throat. The larynx, which contains the vocal cords, is involved in phonation (the production of speech sounds), swallowing and breathing.

Comme son nom l’indique, la laryngite se caractérise par une inflammation du larynx. Le larynx est un organe cartilagineux situé au niveau de la gorge. Abritant les cordes vocales, il est non seulement impliqué dans la phonation (émission des sons par la voix), mais aussi dans la déglutition (quand on avale) et la respiration.
