أُعرب عن الدعم للاقتراح الداعي إلى الاستعاضة عن تعبير "سحب" بتعبير "تصحيح" لأنه: (أ) تعبير تصحيح يصف على نحو أفضل عملية تصحيح الخطاب الذي يعيبه خطأ في الإدخال؛ (ب) تقييد العلاج بتصحيح خطأ في الإدخال، سيجعل التعديل المقترح يحدّ أيضا من امكانية ادعاء الطرف بحدوث خطأ كحجة للانسحاب من عقد غير مؤات.

There was support for the suggestion that the term “withdraw” should be replaced by the term “correct” since: (a) the term “correct” would describe better the process of correcting the communication vitiated by an input error; (b) by limiting the remedy to the correction of an input error, the proposed amendment would also limit the possibility for a party to allege an error as an excuse to withdraw from an unfavourable contract.

Se apoyó la sugerencia de reemplazar el término “retirar” por el término “corregir” porque: a) el término “corregir” denotaría mejor el proceso de rectificar la comunicación viciada por un error cometido al introducir datos; b) al limitar el recurso a la corrección de errores cometidos al introducir datos, la enmienda propuesta también limitaría la posibilidad de que la parte invocara el hecho de haber cometido un error como excusa para retirarse de un contrato desfavorable.

La proposition tendant à remplacer le terme “retirer” par le terme “corriger” a été appuyée pour les raisons suivantes: a) le terme “corriger” décrirait mieux le processus consistant à corriger la communication entachée d’une erreur de saisie; et b) en limitant le recours à la correction d’une erreur de saisie, l’amendement proposé limiterait aussi la possibilité qu’auraient les parties d’invoquer une erreur comme excuse pour se retirer d’un contrat défavorable.
