Any walk through the historic quarter of San Mateo must include a visit to the Parish Church of La Vega de San Mateo, located in Calle Principal (Main Street), where we find a two-nave building (the one of the left dates from 1800 and the one on the right from 1895). The upper middle part is crowned by a bell tower designed by Jose Lujan Perez.

Un paseo por el casco antiguo de San Mateo hace imprescindible visitar la Iglesia Parroquial de La Vega de San Mateo, localizada en la Calle Principal, donde nos encontramos un edificio de dos naves, (la de la margen izquierda data de 1800 y la de la margen derecha de 1895), cuya parte superior central está coronada por un cuerpo de campanas, proyectado por José Luján Pérez.
