Stephan Baas: The Livelihood Adaptation to Climate Change project or LACC - as we call it - is a sub-component of the Comprehensive Disaster Management Programme (CDMP) launched in 2004 by the Bangladesh Ministry of Food and Disaster Management. Its main role within that context is to find mechanisms to address climate change adaptation at the local level by using global circulation models and climate scenarios data, translating them into local agricultural impact outlooks and finally into location specific livelihood adaptation practices.
