The invention relates to an armature for a direct-current motor, particularly for a permanent magnet-excited direct-current motor, comprising an armature body (19) with armature teeth (20) that are offset by the same circumferential angle and are joined to one another via a return ring (21) while forming a single piece. These armature teeth each have a tooth neck (22) for accommodating an armature winding and have a tooth head (23) projecting from the tooth neck (22) in a circumferential direction.
