باستثناء الحكم المتعلق بالوقت المتاح لرفع الدعوى، تقرر أحكام هذا الصك المتعلقة بمسؤولية الناقل عن هلاك البضاعة أو تلفها أيضا ما اذا كان يجوز للمرسل إليه أن يرفض الإسهام في العوارية العامة، ومدى مسؤولية الناقل عن تعويض المرسل إليه عما قدمه من اسهام أو ما دفعه من تكاليف انفاذ
